About Us

The undergraduate program in Art History at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences was established in 2003 under the name “Art History” and began accepting students in the 2010-2011 academic year as part of the Regular Undergraduate Education and Second Undergraduate Education programs. The language of instruction for the program is Turkish.

The total duration of the undergraduate education at the regular education level is 8 semesters. In addition to theoretical courses, the department also offers practical courses.

The Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Undergraduate and Graduate Education-Instruction Regulation, published in the Official Gazette dated October 31, 2011, No. 28101, students must successfully complete 240 ECTS credits consisting of elective and compulsory courses required by the program in order to graduate from the program.

Graduates who successfully complete their education at the Department of Art History at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University are awarded a “Bachelor's Degree in Art History.”
